As fuel and energy prices soar high above even the most outrageously anticipated estimates, consumers are left holding an empty gas can.
 
 With companies and countries in chaos, there doesn’t seem to be and end in sight. Massive lay offs and corporate restructuring has become the norm over the last year or so.

 Political unrest, clashing sects and cultures, have us on the edge of our seats with eyes glued on a war that is at the least, controversial. As a result, changes in our markets are happening daily with little or no opposition. Our focus being on the war and turmoil in the Middle East, has enabled the big oil companies to raise prices to unheard of levels. If the country wasn’t distracted or in war, would we accept these increases as practical? I don’t think so…

 Well the problem remains, so I guess we continue to pay the price, right?

 WRONG!! There are tons of ways to reduce the amount of fuel and energy we consume, therefore lowering our  overall cost.  In order to save money in the home, we can change out incandescent bulbs, we can put in Energy Star products, we can unplug items when not in use and so much more, in fact there's too much to list as I am sure you are aware..
 
 As far as savings when it comes to our vehicles and equipment, there are some amazing new ideas like Flexfuel and ethanol’s, bio-diesels and diesel additives, plus the introduction in recent years to the alternative electronic and fuel cell vehicles…For our homes, we now have Energy Star rated appliances to assist us in our overall saving efforts.

 Ultimately however not everyone can take advantage of new appliances or new vehicles. How are these average people able to find savings?
 
 For starters, educate ourselves on consumption and wasted energy in our homes… We can’t change the war or prices on oil but we can change the amount of consumption and wasted energy where we live..
